The 24 June 2010 issue of Nature carries a review of the premiere of "Staminalia - A Dream and a Trial", commissioned by ESTOOLS with others. It was first performed in Lisbon at the Gulbenkian Foundation on 27 May 2010, as part of the activities for the ESTOOLS International Symposium "Stem Cells in Biology and Disease".
The review finishes with these words:
"We will need the best of our collective creativity to align the scientific and social innovations of the molecular age. Staminalia is thus a fitting celebration of ESTOOLS, a consortium that has put bioethical analysis and creative public engagement at the forefront of its activities."

On 2 June 2010 Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung carried a review of the performance of Staminalia.
The review finishes thus:
"The play in English which lasts half an hour should be performed as an extended version first of all in several Italian towns in the coming months - and it is hoped that it will perhaps be performed in others. Then the twelve million Euros for "EStools" will have been well used not only for science but would even have served to create a successful example for supporting Art."
