ESTOOLS awards 2008

During the ESTOOLS annual meeting in Budapest - Hungary, we were very pleased to award the following prizes to talented scientists: 

Anne McLaren prize

The Ethics Advisory Panel of ESTOOLS decided to award the Anne McLaren prize to:

Evangelia Papadimou from Milan University and Lodovica Borghese from Bonn University.

Evangelia has been actively involved in Outreach activities and dissemination to the public, and Lodovica contributed with excellence to the ethical debate on human embryonic stem cells. 

ESTOOLS Poster Prize 

The  Science Advisory Panel of ESTOOLS awarded the poster prize to

ESTOOLS scientist: Elisa Narva, from Turku University, for her poster entitled: "Genome-wide DNA array SNP 6.0 to characterize Human Embryonic Stem Cell Lines"

Hungarian scientist: Veronika Urban from Budapest, for her poster entitled: "Cooperativity between bone marrow cells and culture-expanded mesenchymal stem cells during reversal of type-1 diabetes"  

The ESTOOLS Project Office and Board of Directors congratulate the 2008 laureates. We are proud to promote such a level of excellence.
