ESTOOLS Winter School 
Saariselka (Near Ivalo Airport), Lapland, Finland

Venue

Speakers and participants will be hosted in the Riekonlinna and Tunturi Hotels in Saariselka city centre (both hotels are accross the road from each other). 

The 1st session (27th morning) will be done in the Auditorium of the Tunturi hotel, all other sessions will be held in the Auditorium of the Riekonlinna hotel.

Participants
Pre- and post-doctoral scientists as well as technical staff.

We have space for 50 participants:
30 places are open to worldwide applicants.
20 places are reserved for members of ESTOOLS laboratories.

Please note that due to a limited number of places we can only accept one registration per department/institution. 

Registration

Registration has now closed.

Registration fees (not refundable):

Non-ESTOOLS academics: 630 £    (~800 €)
Commercial / any other participant: 1140 £    (~1450 €)
ESTOOLS members: contact the project office for details of the special arrangements

The fee includes:

Shared accommodation for 4 nights (26-29 January).
Meals and activities as indicated in the programme.
A bus transfer from Ivalo Airport to Saariselka on January 26.
A bus transfer from Saariselka to Ivalo on January 29.
Details of these transfers will be communicated as soon as possible.

Supplement single room (for any participant): +120 £    (~150 €)
Participants will otherwise be hosted in twin-bed rooms.

Please note that we will update the prices in £ in the case of brutal modification of exchange rates between Euro and British pound.

Travel 

Every participants are expected to organize and cover the costs of their own travel to Ivalo Airport.
One bus transportation from Ivalo to Saariselka (School site) on Monday 26th and one return bus on Friday 30th will be free of charge for participants and speakers. 

Might you fail to find a convenient flight to Ivalo Airport, the Rovaniemi Airport is a possible alternative, followed by a bus connection to Saariselka (or Ivalo). (Time tables are here / see also the FAQ section).
